Plinky’s New Browser Extensions

Saving links in your browser is easier than ever

November 4, 2025

tl;dr: Plinky's browser extensions now support Sign in with Apple, making setup instant. No more copying your Plinky ID between devices — just click Sign in with Apple and start saving links.

While I was at it, I also redesigned the extension from the ground up. It's faster, cleaner, and matches Plinky's current design much better.

Download for Chrome and Firefox today, with the Safari update is coming soon.

Plinky has supported saving links from any browser since before the app launched, but getting started has always been tedious.

The old process required you to:

  • Open Plinky on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac

  • Copy your Plinky ID from Plinky

  • Find a way to get your Plinky ID from one device to your computer

  • Open the browser extension

  • Paste the Plinky ID to authenticate

  • Finally save your link

Now it's just:

  • Open the Plinky browser extension in Chrome, Firefox, or any Chromium browser like Edge, Arc, Dia, or ChatGPT Atlas

  • Tap Sign in with Apple

  • Start saving links

All the friction is gone! You're instantly signed in, and your first link saves instantly.

My goal for Plinky has always been to make saving links as easy as possible and to give you the tools to make it your perfect home for links. This update gets you another step closer to that — with faster sign-in, a cleaner design, and a smoother experience overall. I hope it makes managing your life links just a little better.
